“The truth is no one lives and works in a vacuum. We all make it through life with the assistance, guidance and influence of others. And throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to work with some world-class photographers, videographers, directors, editors, stylists, designers, writers, specialists, technicians, engineers, vendors and talent who have helped me do the things I’ve done.”
"Photography gives you the opportunity to use your sensibility and everything you are to say something about and be part of the world around you. In this way, you might discover who you are, and with a little luck, you might discover something much larger than yourself." - Peter Lindbergh

“Throughout my life more than a few people have tagged me a renaissance man because they recognize I have wide interests and knowledge. It’s true and you see that in the stuff I photograph and film and write about. So I’m not branded as any particular kind of photographer or filmmaker. Rather my photography is driven by what has my interest and imagination at the time.”

Everybody starts somewhere and my photography journey started when I was about 7 years old with a Kodak Hawkeye Brownie like this and 620 Black and White Film.

Ernest Hemingway famously said, "In order to write about life, first you must live it," emphasizing the idea that authentic writing about life requires personal experience and deep immersion in the subject matter. I'll add to that and say that good, authentic photography requires personal experieince and deep understanding of the subject.
